Our AWARD WINNING ‘Engineering Neurodiverse Futures’ Programme!

We’ve got that winning feeling!

Responding to our engineering community’s unique challenges enables us to offer truly life-changing support.

So we were delighted to find out that our Engineering Neurodiverse Futures programme had been recognised as ‘Impactful Grant of the Year 2024’ at the ACO – The Association of Charitable Organisations Awards!

Why is this programme so important?

  • Research shows a greater incidence of neurodiversity in engineers, with around 820,000 neurodiverse engineers working in the UK alone
  • Due to a lack of support, students with neurodiverse attributes are more likely to drop out of their courses
  • Our Engineering Neurodiverse Futures programme gives engineering students and apprentices access to tailored funding, resources and opportunities to help them thrive in their studies and build a rewarding career in the industry
  • Support includes a fully funded, fast-tracked diagnosis; counselling sessions; financial support, and expert career coaching
  •

And we’re pleased that it’s already making a big difference in our community:

“Foothold’s support has been a big milestone for me. I know it will change my life for the better”

Thanks to everyone who helped us get this transformative programme off the ground – it’s testament to our commitment to ensuring no engineer or their family has to face life’s challenges alone!
