Foothold for the IET's Academic Partners

There are many benefits to being an academic partner of the IET.
Foothold is one of them.

We're an independent charity, supporting engineers and their families with whatever challenges they face in life. That support is there for students too. We know that student wellbeing has been impacted significantly during the pandemic. We also know that trying to meet the demand for wellbeing support and providing wellbeing solutions can put a strain on your resources. That’s why we want to let you know we’re here to help.

Our digital support is clinically verified and curated by experts. Crucially, it's also free and easy to access, without a middle person or hoops to jump through. We’re calling on universities teaching engineering to get in touch with us and help us reach more students who are in need of support.

I'd let my mental health define me. But now I’m in control of it - it’s not in control of me. If I hadn’t got in touch with Foothold I wouldn’t be in this position. I really do appreciate everything. View story Read Michael’s story of his mental health journey
