Foothold for the IET's Academic Partners

There are many benefits to being an academic partner of the IET.
Foothold is one of them.
We're an independent charity, supporting engineers and their families with whatever challenges they face in life. That support is there for students too. We know that student wellbeing has been impacted significantly during the pandemic. We also know that trying to meet the demand for wellbeing support and providing wellbeing solutions can put a strain on your resources. That’s why we want to let you know we’re here to help.
Our digital support is clinically verified and curated by experts. Crucially, it's also free and easy to access, without a middle person or hoops to jump through. We’re calling on universities teaching engineering to get in touch with us and help us reach more students who are in need of support.

The Wellbeing Hub
- Free, clinically validated support online.
- From five minute sessions to longer wellbeing courses
- Everything from relationships to addiction, stress and more

Webinars
- Led by experts in wellbeing
- Available live and on-demand
- Free to attend

Resource library
- Physical and mental wellbeing
- Legal and money advice
- Advice for carers
With our digital wellbeing resources, you can offer even greater levels of support to your students without committing additional time or money. As Foothold community members, we'll update you with the latest in our digital support. We'll raise awareness of wellbeing with your students and remind them that they’re not alone and support is available.
We’re just one click away! If you work in wellbeing or marketing services for your organisation, we'd love to hear from you. We can help you meet the growing wellbeing needs of your students immediately.
