Great Wall of China Trek

Trek one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Stretching for 6,000km, the Great Wall zig-zags its way across China, snaking across mountains and through valleys.

The Great Wall of China Trek is a fantastic challenge, hiking for five days along this magnificent man-made structure. One of the best in the market, your challenge takes you over watch towers and mountains, through historic battlement stations that are well off the tourist trail – there are many sections during this challenge where you’ll feel the Great Wall is for you only, with no-one else in sight. Rest assured, the Great Wall of China provides a fantastic backdrop to some fantastic trekking.

Exclusive to this challenge, you’ll ‘lend a hand’ repairing a section of the Wall that is currently being reconstructed. Place your brick in a newly restored section, ensuring your own place in the Great Wall of China! Memories to cherish for a lifetime.

The trekking on this challenge is hard due to a number of steps you trek up and down each day – it can sometimes take an hour just to trek 1km! Another highlight of this challenge is to conquer the 1,000 steps up to the wall at Mutianyu – culminating with the ascent of the ‘Heavenly Ladder’. And with exceptional support from the moment you sign up through to the end of the challenge itself, this trek will not disappoint.

Glowing from your amazing success following the challenge, you’ll have some free time to explore Beijing’s famous sites such as the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square before celebrating your achievement at dinner.
